Just DIE.

Fic Search:

Theres a story where Harry and Snape have been together for awhile, and Snape starts looking elsewhere for pleasure, mainly Draco. Then SNape tells Harry he was to leave right before Harry wants to tell that hes pregnant. When Snape goes to Draco, Dracos having a relation with someone else. Snape goes back to Harry but Harry has a miscarriage. For some reason I cannot remember the title of this fic when I wnated to read it before. Besides the above all I could remember was Snape complaining about Harrys 'ice block feet digging into his calves'

Request:

Any stories in which Harry or Snape are 'part creature' such as Indago by LdDurham on Skyehawke. (even though that is DMHP)

Thank you =)

This? Makes my eyes bleed. Not only is the grammar completely fucked, but it also has the dreded mpreg.

DUDES CAN NOT HAVE BABIES!!!

*eyebrow raise* You obviously have never been in the Stargate Atlantis fandom. We can make mpreg happen and two authors I know of can make up like it; one with realism, one with such hilarity you can't not like it.

I actually avoid mpreg because I gave it a chance awhile back and had to stop when my eyes started bleeding. I'm sure there are people who can do it well, but they're so few and far between in my experience, that I don't bother. Plus, reading a story summary like this just makes my eyes bleed more. It's so...teenage girl soap opera drama, and it's supposed to be a story about MEN.

Point. I apologize. Your fandoms must really suck if your fic is like that. Luckily, in SGA, the number of good authors actually outweighs the number of bad ones quite a bit.

I agree on the soap opera view. Only for parody, I say. ^.^

If you're ever looking into new fandoms, try out SGA. Best fic in the verse, I swear.

No need to apologize. I encourage active debate.

I dont' think it's so much that my fandoms suck as certain aspects of fandom have to be written extremely well for them to work at all [mpreg being an obvious, followed by serious AU and death!fics]. I actually read quite a bit of SGA and have had few disappointments. Of course, when you've got the snark that SGA has, there's so much to work with it can be very easy. :)

Oh, you do SGA? Who do you read? *bounces*

[identity profile] perpet-fic.livejournal.com 2005-12-31 06:15 am (UTC)(link)
I don't have favorite authors, yet. I'm pretty much going by pairings right now. I've always had a major weak spot for side characters, so a lot of my reading seems to center around Zelenka and Beckett [haven't seen second season, yet, so I still consider Beckett a side character]. I do love the McKay/Sheppard, though. Because every episode I've seen just screams "OLD MARRIED COUPLE!!" to me, which is fabulous.

Can you rec anyone?

[identity profile] lucia-tanaka.livejournal.com 2005-12-31 06:56 am (UTC)(link)
*laughs* Ca-can I rec anyone? You're kidding right? I could list hundreds!

...

How about I just give ya the Must Read Fics in the SGA fandom?

Read all of Shallot's work. She is the greatest fic author ever.

Of course men can't have babies.

They miscarry.

Hellooooo. Do you not get that? Why do you not get that? It's just so obvious. Where were you during sex ed, anyway? *g*

[identity profile] perpet-fic.livejournal.com 2005-12-31 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
From EfS and kids's songs to men and their miscarriages. You, my dear, can talk about anything. I love it.

And I'm from Arkansas. We didn't have sex ed. We had a delivery room off the gym.

I am a Renaissance fan. Which is another way of saying, "Slut."

And I grew up in Cleveland, where we had sex ed in 5th grade, and as I remember it, I understood all the parts, but due to a slight miscommunication (in which I'd never actually seen an erect penis, or even a picture of one), I could not, for the life of me, complete the jigsaw puzzle in my head, so it was mostly a waste except that I got the part about how birth control was a good thing.

And the President of the class after mine was pregnant while President. Needless to say, she was a she.
