Crumbs

"You're sure you haven't seen it?"

Andy nods. "Sorry, Billy, no cake to be found here." He presses his tongue to the roof of his mouth and gets another shot of chocolate.

"Has Lij been through? He'll eat anything that's not growing fungus."

"Sometimes he'll even eat that. Haven't seen him, though."

"You're sure?" Billy is watching Andy with suspicious eyes.

"He's still over talking with Pete."

"Apparently, my cake has grown legs and walked away."

"I hate mutated cake."

Billy leans in and licks crumbs from the edge of Andy's mouth. "Didn't mind it a minute ago." He's smiling.
