No TWS shots yet

But I do have caps! We'll get to those in a minute.

Okay, first of all, WOW. The quality of episodes between this season and last season has just been amazing. Every single week I just sit here with my mouth hanging open at how they manage to keep making me go, "WTF". So, hey, go L&O! They keep covering really touchy subjects with a very steady hand. It's wonderful.

Secondly, anyone else notice Bernard calling Lupo "Lups"? Whatsamatter, Bernard? Did you get a stern talking-to from Ed about what you could and could not call his partner? I can see that conversation. Bernard gets the call, calls Lupo to see where he is, and says, "I'll come get you."

Bernard shows up, and it's Lupo's place, but Ed opens the door, half-dressed.

"Oh."
"Hey. Lup'll be ready in a minute."

So Bernard comes in all awkward, and when he spots Lupo he says, "Hey, Lup, get moving." And then Ed just GLARES at him.

Or maybe it's just me who can see that.

I really am liking the dynamic between Lupo and Bernard. There's a mutual respect that seems to be building, and they play off each other really nicely. And getting to watch Lupo be protective makes me all kinds of warm and fuzzy.

And then we get our DAs. Oh, Jack, you bastard. I cracked up when he said, "You're screwed". I mean, Jack's always been concise when the point is clear, but I can't help but think that's one of those expressions he's picked up from somewhere in the office. Like, maybe, he doesn't even realize he's picked it up and gets shit for it later.

And we got Ruthless!Mike but with an actual, rational plan this time. Very nice.

When they started talking about charging Pete, and Connie asked who would do such a thing, we got this:

Jack just KNOWS. And what I really, really LOVE about this scene is that there's a maturation to Mike's technique. Last season he would have gone right ahead and done it without even thinking of checking in with Jack. Now? Now he makes the call with Jack there to stop him. It's a great little bit of business to show that he's refining how he gets shit done.

And it gives such fodder to those of us who think they're doing the deed. Because, really, Jack knows him SO WELL that he's repositioning himself to look Mike right in the eyes. Ooh, Jack, you know you love when he's ruthless.

Do you happen to know of any source for L&O eps that isn't a torrent site? (like, Megauploaded or Rapidshare or whatnot?)

Also, Rumble? Jack and Mike? OMGHOT.

I just needed to say that. I adore their little looks. Jack's raised eyebrow and Mike's wide-eyed look, with the both of them always thinking at each other, "You did not just say that to me!"
