Also, I dunno if you've tried the Dresden Files yet, by Jim Butcher. I like them a lot. Basic premise is a guy who's a wizard who has an ad in the Yellow Pages in Chicago, and he has to deal with bad guys and such. He's a dear heart, and snarky. And the vampires he encounters are douche-y, yet scary motherfuckers? Sort of?

One of them is named Bianca, but WE WILL NOT GO THERE.
