FANNISH!
--I'm not writing right now. The comic book has taken over at such a rate that I want to give it a chance to run full out. I think I can finish it, and I think it'll be good, and I think I need to figure out how to show depth perception. Also, I drew a really bitching tree.
--The script for the comic is not finished. I should do something about that.
--I'm still reading "Generation Kill," and I read the following excerpt to The Husband:
Despite the fear and stress, Colbert remains an extremely polite invader. When we pass more farmers on the road, he pulls hte barrel of his M-4 up, so as not to point it directly at them.
("Generation Kill," Edgar Wright, Pg. 196, Nook edition)
The Husband: "Oh, what a nice man."
Me: "And a badass killing machine."
TH: "So, he's Jack Bauer."
ME: [beat] "Sure, honey."
So, there you go. Brad Colbert is the actual Jack Bauer. Except with less dead loved ones and less torture.
--I started watching "True Blood" a few nights ago because I know that Alexander Skarsgard takes off his pants eventually (Yes, I am that shallow for TV). It took five episodes for me to decide I liked the show outside of the nudity, because Anna Paquin can not--and I mean can fucking not--keep her accent steady to save her damned life. Nor can Stephen Moyer. And, as someone who grew up in the South (not as deep as Louisiana, but deep enough for accents), that bugs the hell out of me. Also, Anna Paquin is kind of a bad actress. She seems like she's constantly half an emotion over from where she needs to be, and it bugs me.
On the upside: Nudity! Although, I can not wait for Eric to cut his damned hair. He looks like a cross-dressing Malibu Ken. (NOW YOU CAN'T UNSEE IT.)
NON-FANNISH!
School's picking up, oh joy, and my research is coming along all right. I need to really get going on it, as classes will be over in a month (damned quarter system), and I probably need my paper finished by then. To, you know, PASS. Methinks Saturday will be a full-blown research day.
And how's you, flist?
