And the gay goes on.
Jun. 6th, 2004 10:22 pmAnd I am, of course, talking about "Crossing Jordan". Specifically, I'm talking about tonight's CJ that was *supposed* to be the season opener. Thank you, NBC, you dumb shits. It's nice that a lot of interplay makes sense now that the first episode has aired *after* the season finale.
Anyway, no cuts, because there are no spoilers to the show to any degree. I'm just pointing out slashy moments.
1. Bug lectures Jordan about her actions getting Nigel sent away in handcuffs in such a tone that leads me to believe that he is pissed off as Nigel's boyfriend more than he is pissed off as Nigel's friend.
2. There is this quote from Winslow in regards to Dr. Macy. "If you're calling me 'Dr. Winslow' again, I must have done something wrong." C'mon, Peter, we've talked about this. You *have* to remember 'blow your boss at work day' if you want to keep Garrett happy.
3. Was it me or were Bug and Nigel glued even tighter at the hip in this one? My God, they could barely stop touching/leaning/looking/teasing each other the whole show. The Gay. It is here.

on 2004-06-07 10:23 am (UTC)Michael T. Weiss kinda phoned that one in, in that James was so very Jarod-like. He was so Jarod-like, in fact, that I kept waiting for him to act in a Jarodic manner. But, no. He was just eeeevil.
And yes, the gay...seeing how attached Bug & Nigel were in this ep. just solidifies our suspicion that all of the flirting with Woody this season was a deliberate attempt of theirs to either 1) piss each other off (that would have to have been on HUGE fight) or 2) freak Woody out. They were seriously like one person in 2 bodies there. And, damn. Bug's little chewing-out of Jordan - & also the looks Bug later keeps shooting Peter when he figures out that Peter's cooperation with Wolcott (&, man, do I hate Wolcott) was, in part, what led to Nigel's interrogation - that was one overprotective boyfriend right there!
As for Garret & Peter, I think what we were seeing was the beginning of their relationship. Peter's the new guy, still trying to find his footing; Garret sort of takes Peter under his wing, so to speak, shows him his place in the 'family.' Though of course it's not as creepy as I've somehow managed to make it sound.
Viva la Gay!

on 2004-06-07 01:19 pm (UTC)I had that exact same thought! "Dude, Jarod, get to the punchline already." Although, I will admit fear at the goatee and sideburns. What the hell were those?

Perhaps someone forgot to pick up an organizer for someone? Or, if it were Nigel for Bug, perhaps Nigel forgot to pick up some rare speciman that Bug had had on order.
man, do I hate Wolcott
Ditto. She's such a power-hungry bitch. I'm glad we didn't see her much for the rest of the season.

1. I seriously had to stifle a laugh at the mob insinuations you had there. Made me wonder if Garrett's actual name is Macioni or something.
2. Peter's place is right beside Garrett. Of course.
