Fandom whorishness
Apr. 25th, 2006 12:18 pmSo I spent the better part of the weekend watching "Batman: TAS", volume 4, which introduces Timmy Drake and gives us a full-time Batgirl and also Nightwing. Although there is the unfortuante side effect to the Nightwing in the cartoon looking disturbingly like he has a mullet, [
] it's still a great set. I forgot that two of my all-time favorite episodes are in the fourth volume. Including the one where Dick tells Tim [as they stand around in the Nightwing and Robin costumes, respectively] why he broke off and started again as Nightwing. It's such a great episode, and at the end the Bat Signal goes up, and Nightwing goes with Robin. I want to write the fic where Batman tries to keep a straight face on the roof when Robin and Nightwing show up. Maybe do it from Jim's perspective, because Jim Gordon is the coolest non-masked person in all of Gotham City.
I've got one disc of "Batman" left, and then I'm going to start over from episode one of "Due South", as I forget which episode I watched last, and I also just want to see the pilot again because it's so crisp and funny and still sweet all this time later. After that? "Justice League".
