Just lost 2-1/2 pages of fic because of some minor computer fuckery.

This is what I did:

I popped my disk out of my computer to take it to the comp lab on campus to do some work. I ended up adding to a story while I was at the comp lab on campus and bringing the disk back. Well, when I come home, I pop the disk back into my computer to keep working on the story, and then I wiggle my mouse around to get my screen out of sleepmode.

Turns out, I left the story I'd just added to, open on my screen. Well, then my computer goes haywire, screen goes blank, and the little green light pops up by the 3-1/2 drive. Next thing I know, my computer is frozen, and I have to reboot. When I try to open the file again, it's telling me it can't.

How do I fix this?
