Fic: A Very Dresden (and Potter) Sequel
Author: Perpetual Motion
Fandom: Dresden Files (TV)/Harry Potter
Pairings: Harry Dresden/Bob; Harry/Snape
Rating: PG
Summary: Set soon after Harry, Harry, Snape, and Bob, a tiny sequel with a little bit of domestic bliss, some good news, and a small fire (it is Dresden after all).
Dis: Lies and bullshit, as always.
Author's Notes: For
leaper182, who requested it. I hope you like it, hon! Self-betaed. First person to spot a typo gets a pony! (Pony not guaranteed.)

Title: Harry, Harry, Snape, and Bob [2/2]
Author: Perpetual Motion
Fandom: Dresden Files [TV]/Harry Potter
Pairing: Harry Potter/Severus Snape, Harry Dresden/Bob
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Harry [Potter] shows up at the office of Harry [Dresden] looking for Severus Snape. And then the plot took a long walk [as usually happens in my writing], and this becomes about four guys, two relationships, and trying to make things as right as they can be in the weird world of men named Harry [one of whom is kind of a pyromaniac].
Disclaimer: So many lies. So many.
Author's Notes: This is TV-verse "Dresden Files", and AU "Harry Potter" [I ignored large parts of book seven to pull this off]. I cannot be thankful enough for the hard work of
leaper182 and
shoshannagold who did the beta work on this. This story would not be nearly as good without their help. Thank you two so much. You're awesome.

I'm way too proud of this scene.
Apr. 10th, 2009 02:37 amSo you get to see it, even without a good proofing.
( Might as well show you the DF/HP to some degree, since I won't be shutting up until it's done or dead in the water )

This post has nothing to do with boobs
Apr. 9th, 2009 03:40 pmBut, oh, how I love that icon. It's like Peter Dinklage isn't even aware he's next to boobs.
The Dresden Files/Harry Potter story is now 5500+ words and about to get longer.
leaper182 has been brave enough to offer to beta, and she's already earned her weight in praise, having asked for clarification on one of the crackier conversations between Harry, Harry, Snape, and Bob [great law firm name, no?]. I want to explain why Dresden [specifically TV Dresden] works his mojo differently than Harry. The answer? Biology!
( Kind of )
And now, off to continue to expand on that topic!

What do I write?
Apr. 7th, 2009 12:02 amRather than take notes in Bio over the last two days [I'm in that point of the semester where I just don't give a good goddamn], I wrote Guy/Kyle for
dcu_freeforall. It got kind of long and really rather adorable, and it was fun.
And then I thought, "Hmmm, I've been hip-deep in DC Comics and L&O for a good long while. What else do I write?"
And then I came up blank, save a Dresden Files [TV Verse]/Harry Potter [Slightly AU Book-Verse] wherein Harry visits Snape's potion shop [with Harry as counter lackey] wanting to know if they can make Bob solid so that he and Bob can have sex.
Yes, I am that shallow. Yes, I am proud of myself.
But other than that, I drew a huge blank. You lot know what I write and what I've written, what should I write?

Yeah, it's been that kind of week:
--The "Pride & Prejudice" comic has been released! And is pretty! I've not read it yet, but I've got a good feeling, having read up on the writer.
--Even though I forget to set up my pull list for this week, comixology.com still sent me an e-mail showing me what was out this week. Also, if you're a comic fan and haven't been there, you should check it out.
miriam_heddy's husband was part of the brains behind it, and it's so useful.
--I've just discovered "The Dresden Files" on hulu.com. Yes, I'm aware it was out like two years ago, but we don't have cable. I watched the first two episodes and had a ball. And am no longer confusing
lasergirl's DF ::facepalm:: icon with one of
miriam_heddy's Xander/Spike icons. I'm not even sure
miriam_heddy has a Xander/Spike icon set up in a similar fashion. I think I saw light hair and a dark-haired guy looking mortified and went straight to Xander/Spike.
--If I burn down the world, I will not be able to get my copy of Pride & Prejudice & Zombies next week, and that's just not right. And, yes, I said Pride & Prejudice & ZOMBIES.
On a final note, the P&P comic has a 100% burn rating on comixology. And now it doesn't, because I chose Bag it. Comics are legitimate literature, and they're a legitimate way to get people to read other types of literature. If you didn't want to set fire to the Illustrated Classics version that got a lot of kids into classic books from the start, you don't get to set fire to the comic.
