Weird, right?

Here's the thing: Googlepages is switching to Googlesites, to which my only response is "WHY. DEAR GOD WHY." I have never figured out, exactly, how GS is supposed to work, and I've tried to make sense of it about half a dozen times. To top things off, Geocities, [where I was before Googlepages], is going to be shut down sometime in the near future. [livejournal.com profile] sparrowinsky, being a kind and generous sort, has handed me a chunk of webspace, and now I'm looking at moving a shit ton of stories yet again.

The question is this: What do I keep? I believe in showing that I've progressed as a writer because--wow--have I, but I'm also looking at about 550 stories that will have to be reformatted, reorganized, re-linked, and moved. Taking out some of my older [frankly, terrible] stuff would make things easier, but I've always felt it important to show my progress because I'm a big proponent of accepting that, at one point, everyone writes like shit. But I'm also a person with a finite amount of time.

I think I could easily dump about 200 stories just be getting rid of the stuff that's godawful. And, sadly, a chunk of that is my old West Wing stuff [it was so GOOD when I wrote it; I swear it was.]

Suggestions from you lot? I've got a few days before I have to full-on decide.

Off to play about with CSS. Yay!

Archive what you don't need on your own HD, but don't trash it forever. Some of us might want to take walks down memory lane. *poke*

I'll always let you browse through the stuff that makes me cringe. Although, why would you want to look at the old stuff when you get the new stuff so easily? :)

Because sometimes I am exhausted, my dear, and don't want my brain to do any work. ;-)

Oh, sure, use that old excuse. :)

I'm hoping to have my computer back in my grubby little hands sometime tomorrow. I just can't write on The Husband's machine.

Well, I've popped you my latest set of notes, one cute little paragraph thereof. *snaps fingers* I really should forward you the black-and-white manipulations of Sunday's neo-Victorian pictures as well! Yes.

SEND PICTURES IMMEDIATELY.

Wait. Was that too subtle?

:)

It came through so loud and clear that I did it before I got this message. :-D

You are adorable! How do you not look wee in a skirt that long and drapey? I cannot pull of skirts like that at all.

I think I'm especially in love with the last picture. You look like you're about to invite small children into your house and then do something magical and fun that doesn't involve snacking on them.

I'm wearing six-inch platform boots. That's how. ;-)

Though I don't particularly want kids, I would love to make sure everyone else's remember that there's magic in the world. Mad auntiedom, here I come!
