Severus/Harry
He is still surprised that he managed to survive the first war. It was a close call. He’s got a four inch scar on his back that proves just how close a call it was. He is equally surprised that he’s survived so long in this second war. Defection nearly got him killed. Spying nearly got him killed. He’s now working for the ‘wrong’ side in plain sight. He’s pretty sure he’ll be dead before the war is over. If he’s not, he’ll die as soon as Harry does. He’ll take his own life before Voldemort can have the pleasure.
“Promise me you won’t,” Harry whispers sometimes when they’re sharing a ratty blanket and sleeping in all their clothes to keep out the cold.
“I won’t let him have me. After you’re dead, he’ll come to me next. After you, I’m his next enemy.”
“When it comes down to he and I, you could stay back, hide.”
“You know I won’t.”
Harry knows, but he can’t help but beg. His own fate is his own. Severus’s fate could be something different if he would just take one step away from Harry. “You’ll be no use right up beside me.”
“Lie.”
Harry pulls Severus closer and tucks his head under Severus’s chin. “Yes.” He kisses Severus’s neck. “When you do it, remember that I love you.”
Severus grips Harry’s hair in his fingers and kisses his scalp. “I will.”

As a set, they’re a pain. Separated, they’re a bearable pain. When George is tied to Severus’s bed and pleading to have his cock sucked, it’s a beautiful sight. When George comes with his eyes open, staring at Severus and whispering his name, it’s very nice. When George rolls Severus onto his back and licks his chest and noses his belly button, it’s as close to perfect at Severus thinks he’ll ever get. When Fred loses a bet to them and joins them in bed one night, Severus has to redefine perfect.
As a set, they’re not always a pain.

Actually, I'm not that evil. : ) I've just been craving Snape/George for a really long time this made me very happy. *contented sigh*
