Perhaps next year, there could be a con for you? *big brown eyes*

Maybe. We'll be in a better area for it. The lower Midwest is not really con adjacent.

Mwa ha ha ha.

It's local for me (mostly) and I fit it into the budget by pretending I would network at least part of the time. Not dressing up, though, because it'll be rainy and there aren't as many cosplayers. =) I will probably put up pictures again, but line crawls aren't all that interesting.

Sooo cool. If I may ask a slightly invasive question: How many hours are you from PAX? Because once we move, we will also be local-ish. And The Husband would pee himself in unbridled glee.*

Well, I used to be a 10 minute walk up the hill from it. But now I'm out in Redmond for the nonce, so 90 minutes by bus, 30 minutes by car.

Portland is about 3.5 hours away by car, or the trains run pretty well at 3.5 hours, too.

Ooh, a reason to take the train! We've been trying to come up with one, as getting to SDCC (another dream) by train would cost WAY more than flying.

Amtrak runs at least 4 times a day during the week, and it's about $30 a person each way. And you don't have to drive, or store a car, but you do have to bus around a bit.

Light rail is free in downtown, and goes from across the street from the train station to Westlake Center, a few blocks down from the WA State Convention Center.

CONGRATS! WHOOOO HOOO!

I have read it already, despite having a guest over when I spotted it, but shall probably not comment immediately, as I want to saw more than, OMG YAY! when I do comment. *grins*

Hey, I'll take OMG YAY! I hope your guest was not horribly offended. :)

Nah, [livejournal.com profile] vertelemming is fannish, so he understood. And we'd spent the entire day together. :-)
