Guy's mom is probably my favorite character I've ever played with from the ground up. I just loved her to bits, and I'm so happy you liked her, too.
The trick to emotional complexity, I think, is to remember that certain conversations simply aren't had in a quick back and forth. Pauses are EVERYTHING. Also, I had a good base with Guy and Kyle's characters from the actual DC-verse. They started out well-drawn, I just aged them down a little and made them awkward.
