Title: Shock
Author: Perpetual Motion
Fandom: Dead Like Me
Pairing: Rube/George
Rating: G
Summary: Drabble of Rube in shock.
Dis: Lies.
Author’s Notes: For michellek, who made me do it thanks to a meme. And for the others who seem to enjoy the pairing so much [all six of us].
Shock
By Perpetual Motion
Rube looked up when he heard the door open. George. In a short black dress. And heels. And make up. He watched as George walked to the booth, sat down, and immediately slouched.
“What?”
“You look different.” Rube was glad his voice stayed even.
“I’ve got some stupid dinner for work. I look like an idiot.” She crossed her arms, and a strap slipped down her shoulder.
Rube reached over and slid it back into place. “You look fine, Peanut.” It was the only thing that he could think to say that wouldn’t end with that dress on the floor.
I got talked into this because
michellek did a meme where she got to insist on drabbles from three people. I feel entitled to do the same meme.
julianlee: "Boondocks"-Ceaser/Huey drabble [as you write them so well.]
zen_of_punk: "Due South"-Fraser/Either Ray drabble.
michellek: "Dead Like Me"-Rube/George drabble.
I feel all powerful.

on 2005-06-14 06:31 pm (UTC)Once again, this is what I get for wandering off and not giving a rat's posterior about fandom for a couple months. I meander back through & find people asking me for things.
I wouldn't do this for just anyone. But for you, m'dear...anything.
