Re: The new Harry Potter
MOM: "You heard it was leaked in Canada?"
ME: "Yeah. That was great."
MOM: "Did you have anything to do with that?"
ME: "I'm not in Canada."
MOM: "How do I know that? You're calling from your cell phone."
ME: "Well, I'm not in Canada anymore."
MOM: "That's what I thought."

Of course, now my brain is doing all kinds of Harry Potter crossovers with TV shows.

on 2005-07-14 03:07 am (UTC)ROTFLMAO...
It happened in New York (http://www.kansas.com/mld/kansas/12121661.htm), too. Though that was supposedly only one, and the dorks are going to return it.
Personally, I think the best part is when a judge ordered the people who got the leaked copies not to talk about, copy, sell, or READ the book before Saturday. Seriously. The first three, I'm pretty sure I could take... but if I had an advanced copy of THBP? I could maybe say I didn't read it.
I'm totally staying up to buy the book at midnight.
Kisses...
