So, julianlee was commending the fine people at "Crossing Jordan" [and on "Crossing Jordan"] of their slashiness. I wrote the following:

Raise your hand if you think the CJ execs realize that slashers are the most loyal fans out there?

Another person on the list responded with this:

That's a pretty sweeping statement, and unless you've polled every single of us how can you be sure???

I came back with a this:

I trust in the love of slashers everywhere for their plots, hot sex, and cute men and women snogging other cute men and women.

Plus, I'm an optimist. :)

She retaliated with this:

That may well be true but it doesn't address the issue of loyalty. Remember, this is a fandom for everyone, which is what makes it so great and making such a statememt is going to insult non-slashers.

Seriously, people, does anyone out there think I made the comment with actual menace aimed at the non-slashers?

I mean, sure, I was planning to throw red paint on them when I spotted them, but I was hoping to keep my ire a secret until I could strike.
