perpetual_motion: hang yourself please (make with the sex eyes)
As I read stuff, I'm gonna rec stuff. I'm being mildly lazy and sticking to shorter stuff, so if you read something you think I would have liked, it may just be that it was longer than I wanted to read at the moment. Drop me a note to check it out!

There are all the fandoms that start with numbers and the letter A. These are not all the Yuletide fandoms that fall under that umbrella; just the ones I read.

30 Rock
Better Than Coffee-- The Mexican tienda strikes again, this time with less bull semen.

(Don't) Picture You and Me--(Jack/Liz)--"What is it this time, Lemon?"

He speaks without so much as a backwards glance at the doorway, and seriously, how the hell does he do that? She should get him to teach her one day, because she never made so much as a sound, and he knew immediately.

The Wrath of Jon--In which there is a pie crisis, Conan's studio is off-limits, Jack is absent, and Jonathan knows things that other people don't.

A Knight's Tale
Not Fitting--When a man changes his stars, do the stars change a man?

Across the Universe

Let it Out and Let it In--(Jude/Max)--Jude lets it out, lets it in.

Been Wandering Around (Still Comes Back to You)--(Jude/Max)--If Jude's honest, he's still not sure why he ran. No one saw them. No one was chasing, but something about Max's energy had him following. From day one.

Read Up to the Roots--(Lucy/Prudence)--A day on the compound with Lucy and Prudence.

It's Beautiful and So are You--(Lucy/Prudence, Max/Jude)--The clouds will be a daisy chain, so let me see you smile again.

Alias (Comic)

Pseudological Fantastica--Jessica's not good at this, the talking and sharing and a being a "normal" human being -- y'know? -- but she knows she's going to get better at it, has to, for this kid, for Luke, for herself.

American Idol RPF
And When it Was Good--(Ryan/Simon)--There are shows when it's good, when they're on.

Where We're Going and How to Get Back--(Ryan/Simon)--There are things less like relationships.

The letter B and more tomorrow.
perpetual_motion: hang yourself please (awesome!)
Like before, I'm not reading every last piece in every fandom. Either I'm being lazy and think it's too long, or I'm not interested in what some people wrote. And, again, if you think I should be reading a certain story, drop me a note. I like recs as much as the next person!

We're gonna cover B-C today, I think.

Baby-Sitters Club
Stacey's Seriously Bad Decision--(Stacy McGill/Charlotte Johanssen)--Stacey's pretty sure that falling for someone you used to babysit is totally not OK.

Beauty and the Beast (Disney)
Bittersweet--(Belle/Beast)--Some stories do not always have happy endings...

Rose Without Thorns--(Bella/Adam (Beast))--Belle is not as happy as she thinks she should be. Then again, maybe she is.

Bend it Like Beckham
Five Days, Five Months--(Jess/Jules)--Coming to the US was the last thing Jess thought would put a rift in her relationship with Jules, but the moment she arrives everything starts to change.

Breakfast at Tiffany's

MR. Yunioshi's Photographs--The life and times of Mr. Yunioshi, and why he lets Holly Golightly stay in her apartment rent-free. (Otherwise: can we make Mr. Yunioshi more of a character and less of an offensive caricature?)

Such a Lot--He was serious, a serious man. Always frowning. And if that accentuated the eyes, well, it's not that he did it on purpose.

Breakfast Club
Most Likely To---(Brian/Bender)--People liked stories to have a trajectory. Upward or downward, they liked a journey. So if there had been gossip after the reunion, Brian's life might have looked something like this.

Cable & Deadpool
The Cable & Deadpool Yuletide Special--...summary? Is that like a recap page? Huh. Okay. I'm Deadpool, the Merc with a Mouth. You may remember me from such comics as "Deadpool," "Deadpool," and "Cable & Deadpool," and from my brief appearance in Wolverine's first solo movie, which for now makes me Marvel's latest license to print money -- thank you, Ryan Reynolds. Anyway, now I'm in a Yuletide story, so join me and my buddy Nate Summers, aka Cable, for wacky hijinks and reality-hopping adventure. Say hi to the fangirls, Nate.

"Wade? Who are you talking to?"

Calvin and Hobbes
Everyday is a Reminder--(Calvin/Susie)--There's a certain fear that some children share as they grow up, that whatever they do will never be as good as what's come before. Among all the other things he will ever be, Calvin has never been one of those kids.

The Lengthy Dimly Lit Coffee Break of the Psyche--Calvin looks for a job. Hobbes and Susie look after Calvin.

Casino Royale (2006)
Gifts--(Bond/M)--Usually Bond and M save the world. But sometimes, just sometimes, they go shopping.

If Headaches Persist, Shoot Your Agent--(Bond/M)--Bond's a headache even at the best of times, but he's M's headache.

I may get around to the Ds tonight. I've currenly got nine tabs open under the Ds. I need to rewatch "Dead Poets Society."
perpetual_motion: hang yourself please (picturing you naked)
In case you're curious, I do plan to work my way through the alphabet. To give you an idea of the size of this thing, I signed up to write for 60 or 70 fandoms this year. I can't recall, exactly, but it was a LOT. So I read a lot. And it's awesome.

Again, I'm not reading every last thing in the fandoms I rec, and if you think I missed something good, tell me!

Dead Poets Society
Know How to Speak--(Todd/Neil)--Silence is just as important.

In Motion--(Todd/Neil)--Neil Perry is not, in fact, a very talented poet. It is rather intimidating to find out that his roommate is.

Of Eyes that Crave the Light--Todd's forty years old, and the past comes back to him on a cold day in Manhattan.

Dirty Dancing
A Real Grown-Up Name--(Baby/Johnny)--Frances Houseman always wanted to change the world.

Doctor Who RPF
So Fearless, You're Filthy, Except When You Fail--(David Tennant/John Simm)--John Simm hates actors; David Tennant is a mercurial freak. Everyone else has commentary.

Fame
Embody the Earth--(Montgomery/Ralph)--Montgomery MacNeil gets his happy ending.

Fried Green Tomatoes
And Your People Shall Be My People--(Idgie/Ruth)--'My son will grow up with a name he can be proud to bear,' Ruth said. 'He has no right to the name Jamison – as you have pointed out,' she continued, 'and while there remains breath in my body he will not be subjected to the indignity of the name of Bennett.'

Glee
Angel with a Pint Glass--(Kurt/Finn)--Finn grins and waves and he looks so genuinely pleased to see him, that Kurt feels a little ridiculous for not seeking him out weeks ago.

Well, D-G; that's pretty good work. Yay, me! What are you reading, flist? Even if it's not Yuletide, I'm very curious.
