So, Joker, you've decided to face me.

You know, personally, I don't think fandom and politics should combine.
In fact, I'm not even sure *why* you're lumping the two together. Fandom is something you do for fun and enjoyment. Politics needs to be taken much more seriously, but with a grain of salt and a sense of humor.
Pairing up your political beliefs with your fandom is only going to piss you off and send the rest of us into a domino effect from it.
If I paired up my belief system with my fandom, I'd never read a story involving marriage, religion, or kids. You just can't slap two obviously different things together and wait for them to mold into some super cyborg creation that only you can create. That's not how it works. Given, some people do try to do it, and if they want to try, they can go right ahead, but you're taking it to a level that just doesn't make any sense.
Fandom=fun
Politics=not fun in the same way.
Fandom+Politics=head all explodey.
NOTE: Musical choice and reference to the Joker were not intentionally planned. Really.
