One step forward, half-step back

perpetual_motion"Green Arrow/Black Canary" was not a total trainwreck this month. More a skid on the rails that was saved by the barest bit of luck. And Kreisberg [the writer] is still playing Dinah like all she is is support as opposed to complete badass. She didn't get to fight at all, but at least she didn't scream her way out of something.
And Ollie pulling the shit with his quiver just makes me pissy. Someone needs to remind the writers of GABC [outside of Kevin Smith], that Ollie being a douche and misdirecting Dinah is WHAT MAKES PEOPLE HATE THE COUPLE.
But I'm still reading. Because I can't quite give up. This is my absolute favorite superhero duo, and Black Canary is my absolute favorite superhero. Because, when written well, she is a complete badass in the absolute best way, and she's still got the sexy, girly side that she's totally cool about enjoying, and how could you not love her when she's written like that?
I wonder how much longer I'll have to wait to see that Dinah again.
