Guy/Kyle nerds?

I know I've got fellow comic nerds on my flist, but are any of you Guy/Kyle nerds or, at least, nerds for "Green Lantern Corps" or "Green Lantern"? Because I've suddenly got a longish Guy/Kyle idea in my head, and I want to tell someone about it who will go, "Oooh! Neat!" Or even, "Oh, god, WHY?", if that's the more honest reaction.

And for the uninitiated, that is Guy's butt and Kyle's embarrassed face. It's okay. Bats was totally asking for it.

Ok, I'm a huge green Lantern/ GLC fan (I started back in Showcase #22 and am still getting caught up. I'm about to the point where Kyle's dating Darkstar Donna Troy.)

But as for a Kyle/ Guy fic?????

Look at my icon, even Chibi-Usa rails against the heavens at the idea.

Actually, it wouldn't be a bad idea for a fic with just the two of them working together... but any type of romance would be..... odd.

The current GLC run makes a much better case than the previous stuff. When Geoff John's relaunched GLC [trades start with "Recharge"], he let Guy act like an adult most of the time [the first shot of him in "Recharge" is when he's mooning Bats, but this is Guy we're talking about]. The follow-up writers have also let Guy still be himself [loud, aggressively self-confident, and the like], but they're also giving us a Guy that has facets. You get to see him caring and being in charge in a way that doesn't end with the famed "One punch!"

He and Kyle are pretty much best buds now. Possibly because the writers stopped making Guy the Butt Monkey and made him the--in the words of Geoff Johns--the DC shitkicker. Need a dirty job done? That's why you have Guy Gardner.

Sorry, I just Guy-loved all over you. Let me mop that up.
