(And if that should be "who," don't tell me right now.)

What was your wait time? Because I'm going fucking nuts and just got hung up on by admissions. Assholes.

I don't remember the exact wait time, but I think it was in March. Regardless, hope you hear soon.

It varied. I heard back from 1 in early March, 2 in mid-late March, and the last on Easter weekend. Word of advice? Calling admissions never works. Most schools I know are working through departmental email, so it might be easier to get in touch with the department if you have a specific question.

I was calling the uni in regards to paperwork I've been expecting for two weeks, actually. And after telling me it would "show up soon," the woman in admissions who looked up my application to make sure it had made it was the one who hung up on me.

I don't think I've ever gotten paperwork on time from my grad school. Or my undergrad, actually. Good luck, btw. My sis is going through the app process now, too - she IM'd me pretty constantly til she got an email acknowledgment from the dept. about her application paperwork.

When was the dead line for admissions? that will make a differnce. And yeah, calling them is rough, remember there are bunchs of other studens calling them as well. Best not to piss them off, but give it about 1 to 2 months after the dead line for submissions. If you haven't heard by then, then call.

I know the department has my paperwork, and it's in committee (that's six weeks of my life in waiting, right there). The call to admissions today was to the uni admissions regarding a piece of paperwork that I've been expecting for two weeks, and I was wanting to make sure my app had actually been properly filed just in case the reason I wasn't getting the paperwork was because it had been lost somewhere on the line.

I got told the paperwork would "be out soon," and then she hung up the phone before I could get a solid date or even something of a close cousin to a solid date. I got out a "thank you," and before I could follow it up, she hung up in my ear. No questions if I needed anything else or anything. I know they're busy, but there's busy and there's rude.

oh i agree. I'm not saying that they /should/ behave that way, just that they do. I'm in the same process for the...i've done this alot. I'm appying for my second masters and it took a few rounds to get into the first program. So i know your pain. I wish you all the luck in the world and i hope they don't keep you waiting too much longer.
