Expectations

You don’t expect roses. You don’t expect endearments. You don’t expect him to be less of an annoying jackass just because you have sex with him a couple of times a week. You’re a doctor, not a miracle worker. You just want to keep having sex with him. It’s good. Hell, it’s fucking *great*. It’s best when he groans your name (“Chase”, pressed out through a stretched up throat as fingers dig into your back). It gets you off. He gets you off. His scotch-threaded voice and stubble on your throat. No roses. No endearments. Just sex and low expectations.

I'm loving the Chase/House more and more. The lack of scruples (of different sort in each member) in that relationship is just so fascinating. That last line really clinches it.
