Oscar Reaction

I like that "The Aviator" didn't sweep the awards. I wasn't awed by the movie like most people I know, and I'm glad that other movies got recognition as well.
I liked Chris Rock as host. He was funny, he was a little dangerous, and he was having a damned good time.
I loved the fact that Tim Robbins was drunk [or appeared to be so] when he stumbled onto the stage to give out an award.
I loved the fact that Dustin Hoffman *was* drunk when he stumbled onto the stage, stumbled through his lines, and then whispered the winner of Best Picture to Barbara.
I loved how *happy* people seemed to be when they won. No one tried to be particulary stoic.
I hated the implied insult I felt was given to the people who recieved their awards from their seast. "Yeah, you're at the Oscars and everything, but you're less than the other people who are nominated, so you have to speak into a microphone with your ass pointed at half the audience. Enjoy!"
I hated how the nominees who were yanked up onstage didn't even get a full screen graphic for their work. They stood there over a stage of screens and had their work displayed on the floor. "Yeah, you're at the Oscars, and we're letting you talk to the *whole* audience, but we're elitist little snobs who don't think your work should get full credit, so we're just going to walk all over it. Enjoy!"
I hated how Renee Zellweger looked like she was about to fall over from starvation. I also hated the look on Natalie Portman, and the chick in the green dress whose name and award I can't remember.
I hated Beyonce. Other people wrote and sang those songs. They should be allowed to perform them on Oscar night. I don't want to hear her warble through three songs that she had nothing to do with until it came time for the Oscars. She's a hack. And a bitch.
Also? Does anyone else think that Johnny Depp won't ever get a best actor nod but will someday be given a Lifetime Achievement Award? I just have this feeling.
As for Cate Blanchett's win? Should have gone to someone else. I thought she overdid Hepburn. [That's right. I went there.]
