Wanna Get Ficced?

But it bears repeating. At the DC panel today, there was some discussion about Wonder Woman's changing costume. She had pants in one preview image and was without them for another. Someone asked why this was.

The answer? Was it an artist fail? Not likely, as it's Cliff Chiang, and he's fantastic. Was it an earlier version, no-pants, that got released? No.

They are retractable.

Let me repeat this: Wonder Woman will have retractable pants.

I just...goddamnit, I can't even.

And that, by the way, wasn't even the worst damned news.

But...retractable pants.

I have a very dear friend who I made a comic book fan, and we have a shorthand for getting a laugh from comic book science. We look at each other and say, "Time. Bullet." This is a reference to how Steve Rogers came back to life a few years back. The bullet that killed him was created by Dr. Doom and had time-traveling properties, so when they brought Steve back, they were able to do it because the bullet hadn't killed him it just disconnected him from time.

There is nothing in that previous paragraph that is a lie. Steve Rogers could be brought back to life because of a time bullet. Hence, "Time. Bullet."

And now? Now I have one for costume changes. I have "retractable pants."

And I just...jesus motherfucking assraping christ people. RETRACTABLE PANTS.
