Holiday drabbles, as promised.

perpetual_motionHey, lookit that, I actually *finished* requests. It can be done.
So, yes, the Uber-commercialized Bastard Holiday drabbles as promised. I know it was OBH, but Word reads overcommercialized as two words, and I would have had to re-edit the Casey/Danny, so I changed it.
Also, I’m not completely sure on some of the paragraph breaks in the CJ drabbles, but they seem right to me. Someone thump me on the head if they’re not. Too many English 215 critiques may have ruined my ability to tell.

Casey yanked the Santa hat down over his eyebrows. “No.”
“Case, I swear to God-“
“Don’t Scrooge, Danny. This is for Charlie.”
Danny’s eyebrows rose. “Your stupid hat for celebrating the Uber-commercialized Bastard Holiday is for Charlie?”
“Yes.”
“He’s fifteen. He sees you in that hat and every ounce of teenage angst he has is going to boil over until he dies of embarrassment.”
“He will not.”
“Think back to when you were fifteen. Now, add to that the fact that you are the Big Gay Dad.”
Casey pulled the hat off. “Fine.”
Dan kissed Casey. “Thank you.”

They dance together to Bing Crosby. Toby moves fluidly, giving away the fact that he’s more graceful than he appears. Josh manages to keep up unless the music suddenly changes. When he stumbles on the high notes, Toby rubs circles into his back and makes shushing sounds in his ear. “We could turn it off.”
“No.” Josh digs his fingers into Toby’s shoulders. “Just…” He’s not sure what to say. “Just…”
Toby holds him closer, runs his fingers over the cables of Josh’s sweater. “It’s music. Not sirens. No ambulance. It’s just music.”
“Yeah.” Josh stumbles again. Toby catches him.

It’s a lovely vest, green with red stripes. Somehow, Bug manages not to look like an elf while wearing it.
Somehow, Woody keeps himself from unbuttoning it. “Nice vest.”
“Thanks. Lily got it for me.” Bug’s tone is distasteful. “It’s not me.”
“It looks good.” Woody’s hand comes out of his pocket and follows a stripe. The vest is soft. Well-made. Woody’s fingers follow another stripe. “It’d look better hanging off the bedpost.”
“Get out.” There’s a smile at the edge of Bug’s mouth. “Perv me later.”
Woody grins. “Count on it.” He strokes the vest once more and leaves.

“Bug, I-“ Nigel paused halfway into the lab and stared at Bug. “Bite off more than you can chew?” Nigel laughed as Bug glared and made no move to dislodge the cookie that was hanging out of his mouth. “Lily’s cookies?” Bug nodded. “Mind if I steal a bite?” Nigel stepped over, titled Bug’s head up, and bit down on the cookie. His lips brushed Bug’s in the process. Nigel grinned around his part of the cookie when Bug made a small, surprised sound. He swallowed.
“Found some bugs for you to play with. Have fun.” Nigel winked and was gone.
So, still a couple of weeks before the UBH. Hit me again. No duplicate pairings; that's no fun.
