Authentic Old Men

They’re turning into authentic old men. Jack’s started taking Gingko in the morning, and Lennie spends the really cold days with heating pads on his knees. They’re eating more green things, grumbling about ‘kids these days’, and taking non-walking transportation more often than they freely admit.

But it’s not all vegetables and heating pads. Age also brings about a lack of worry when it comes to people and their reactions. They hold hands when they take their doctor-prescribed walks. They bitch and gripe about each other to each other in the middle of their favorite diner. They even kiss each other goodbye occasionally.

They’re turning into authentic old men. And they’re quite pleased with the results.
