I've made the rather amazing decision to clear my shelves of all my trade paperbacks and go fully digital on my comics. This is due to partly being in love with digital comics (All storage! No boxes!) and partly because shipping 19 boxes of books was something I only want to do once. I'll probably be posting non-comics soon, but getting through my non-comics will take a bit more time.
In the meantime, it's $5 a trade, and here's what I've got:
Y: The Last Man -- full series (10 trades) -- $50
(This thing was so good, I think it almost made me pregnant.)
DC The New Frontier -- both volumes (2 trades) -- $10
(Complete standalone series and very good)
Captain America: Winter Solider -- both volumes (2 trades) -- $10
Captain America: Red Menace -- both volumes (2 trades) -- $10
(Also note, the four Cap trades are the first two stories in the current Cap run, so they're perfect starters if you're just getting into Cap.
House of M -- full miniseries (1 trade) -- $5
Spiderman: House of M -- full mini (1 trade) -- $5
(I don't know what the general consensus is on HoM, but I really liked it. It's a pity Marvel's kinda ruined the devastating effect by having an event every time they sneeze now. Also, Spidey's HoM mini damn near made me cry.)
Green Lantern: Rebirth, No Fear, Revenge of the Green Lanterns, and Wanted -- 4 arcs (4 trades) -- $20
(I've come to the conclusion I don't think Hal is very interesting, but damn if Geoff Johns can't write well enough to convince me to try for a very long time. Actual fans of Hal may also enjoy.)
Green Lantern: Sinestro Corps War -- full arc (2 trades [hardback]) -- $10
(I love this arc like burning. It's just a damned fine story. It falls right after one of the GL books above; can't remember which, sorry.)
The Authority: Relentless and Under New Management -- full arcs (2 trades) -- $10
(If you've heard of Midnighter and Apollo, this is where they're from, and these two trades are a good jumping-on point as they were the launch of the series post-Stormwach [the comic that preceded it]. Gloriously gory.)
Young Avengers: Sidekicks and Family Matters -- full arcs (2 trades) -- $10
(One of my absolute favorite team books. I love smart, determined teenagers saving the world.)
Dr. Strange: The Oath -- standalone story (1 trade) -- $5
(Full disclosure: I never got around to reading it, as it was part of a massive buy when my beloved comic shop went under, but I know it's on comixology, so I figure I can always buy it there and read it then. It's by Bryan K. Vaughn, who is very good, and it's Dr. Strange!)
Booster Gold: 52 Pick-Up, Blue & Gold, and Reality Lost -- three arcs (3 trades) -- $15
(If you want to see exactly how a C-lister went A-list and stole my goddamn heart, you want these. Oh, Booster. [Oh, Ted.])
Justice Society: The Next Age, Kingdom Come -- two arcs (3 trades [hardback]) -- $15
(This was my first intro to the JSA, and I just love them. I am pissed they seem to not be in the reboot at all. The world needs more Jay and Ted and the rest of the old guard.)
The Ultimates: Super-Human and Homeland Security -- two arcs (2 trades) -- $10
(The Avengers as complete, brilliant assholes. I think Millar gets too much credit for writing anything political, but he writes people being assholes very well.)
Hellblazer: Original Sins and Dangerous Habits -- two arcs (2 trades) -- $10
(Original Sins is the very first Hellblazer arc, and Dangerous Habits is the one my comi guy used to get me into Hellblazer because we were out-of-stock on the first. Damned good reads, the both of them. Creepy as shit.)
X-Factor: Madrox -- full story (1 trade [hardback]) -- $5
X-Factor: The Longest Night -- full story (1 trade) -- $5
(I have finally gotten around to reading X-Factor in full, and let me say this: In a very busy two weeks, I got nearly caught up. It's that good. Madrox is the mini that launched the title again, and The Longest Night is the first arc in the ongoing. It's detective noir with a lot of humor and fantastic characters.)
Scott Pilgrim -- full run (6 trades) -- $5
(I bought it because it was cheap [another purchase in the death throes of my comic shop], and now it's available on comixology, so I can reread it in digital. So dorky and fun.)
Okay, that's it for now. There will be a lot more forthcoming in the next few weeks as I get stuff sorted, but I think this gives a good overview. I'm willing to break up full sets if no one wants them as full sets (though seriously, read Y: The Last Man), and I'll ship anywhere as long as you're willing to put up for shipping. If you're in the States, I can ship media mail and save you a couple of bucks. Comment here or PM me if you want something!
