I am such a nerd

So, last night in my Lit class, my prof asked for a definition of "magical realism". What's the first thing that pops into my head? "Due South". Lucky for me, my prof knows the show. Unlucky for me no one else does. I ended up explaining it something like this:

"Magical realism is where you just go with what they tell you can happen. If a deaf, half-wolf can read lips and snark back, then you don't question it."

Me: ::goes back to writing fan fic in lieu of taking notes::

I also just dropped about $100 of my tax return on movies and cds. I'm finally getting "Gods and Monsters" [Ian!] and a replacement of my "Music for Elevators" [Anthony!] CD that was stolen. Am also buying "Bent" [Clive!] for reasons you can obviously figure out [CLIVE!]

And someday soon, I will start writing fic again.
